In order to really get 1.42, 1.43, 1.44 cracked, someone would have to create (or patch) the steam api dlls in order to trick the game into thinking you're signed into the steam account.

Neither of these updates utilised the exe files. These changes were primarily about fixing the duplicate key assignment error and getting the DLC cars working (albeit without the weapons and some other things).

The "crack" releases for 1.42 and 1.43 were about patching the data so it can be (mostly) used by the 1.41 GTA5.exe. I think the issues is is that the steam_api64.dll is the crack for the game, 1.42 and above introduced changes that resulted in the 1.41 crack no longer working.
